AI ban bill of the week: mental healthcare

It s becoming de rigueur for state legislatures to curb the use of AI in mental healthcare. California’s latest bill, SB 903, is on its Governor’s desk.

The bill’s author says that “SB 903 draws a clear line: AI can be a tool in the hands of licensed professionals, but it cannot be the professional itself.”
