Gold Eagle. AI oversight via Executive Order

Last week, this Excutive Order created Gold Eagle, a new AI oversight initiative. Gold Eagle creates “a clearinghouse for cybersecurity vulnerability coordination.” The program includes the Commerce Department and Department of Homeland Security but not the Center for AI Standards and Innovation that specifically regulates AI.

The Center for AI Standards and Innovation has been going through directors. One director lasted a single week.
