2 Building Codes Requiring EV Charging Stations.

Atlanta will require plug-in ready building for:

  • all new residential homes
  • all new public parking facilities
  •  20% of the spaces in all new commercial and multi-family parking structures 

Vermont addressed EV readiness statewide by:

  • establishing size requirements to trigger EV requirements
  • applies to both commercial and residential projects
  • when the size threshold is met, a certain percentageof EV supply equipment or EV-ready parking spaces are required
