The latest U.S. Energy Storage Monitor report from GTM Research and the Energy Storage Association finds:

• 2018 Q1 saw 36 MWh grid-connected residential storage deployed
• 2018 Q1 overall deployment of energy storage was 126 MWh 
• 2018 Q1 is as much as the 3 previous quarters
• 74% of the residential deployments were in CA & HI
• 95% of all residential storage is solar-paired
• 51% of deployments are commercial and industrial and the front-of-the-meter markets

The energy storagae deployiment increase is atrributed to: Policy changes in HI and CA that reduced net metering compensation
