Institute for Energy Research: data centers can lower electric rates

The Institute for Energy Research published a piece entitled, Texas Pauses Data Center Construction. In its conclusions, it reasons that “AI data centers can also help lower electricity rates because they can absorb the fixed costs of grid infrastructure built to power them.”
