Tarrant Water District Changes Board Rules

What’s happening? Tarrant Water District adopted new rules concerning nepotism and board management.

Why is this important? A former general manager of the district hired his girlfriend, and fast forward to the former GM and the district getting into a legal kerfuffle over a $300,000 payment from the Board President to the GM.

How will this be important? New nepotism rules go beyond state law to include: three degrees of separation from a domestic partnership or dating relationship.
