COVID EFFECT. PA Opportunity Program

What is happening? Pennsylvania Governor is proposing using ARPA funds for the PA Opportunity Program that would help residents in this COVID inflationary period. ARPA funds in each state are to help states recover from the economic effects of COVID

Why is this important? The program would provide direct payments of up to $2,000 for Pennsylvania households with an income of $80,000 or less

How will this be important? The state has until December 2024 to appropriate the funds or the funds will return to the federal government.
