Gig Economy. Worker Classification Round 3.

What is happening? A California Court ruled the very pricey initiative that declared gig economy workers were independent contractors is unconstitutional.

Why is this important? The court said that the initiative violates the right of the state legislature to pass future laws around worker safety and status

How will this be important? Other states, including Massachusetts, are trying to statutorily classify gig economy workers.
