What is happening? The November 2022 ballot in California will likely include a proposition for the Living Wage Act of 2022 that will raise the minimum wage to $18 for all businesses by 2026.
Why is this important? The initiative would not only raise the minimum wage from he current $15, but would also remove the current staggered standards of $14 an hour for businesses with 26 or more employees and $13 an hour for smaller businesses.
How will this be important? just as the $15 minimum wage moved across the country, including successfully in Florida, this will pop up in other jurisdictions as well
