Missouri Tax Credit Bill

What is happening? Missouri has a revenue surplus & is returning tax dollars to Missourians. HB 3021 (2022 | MO) would provide $500 per individual and $1000 per household.

Why is this important? Opponents, bipartisan, say that not all taxpayers will see a return, only 43% of Missouri income tax payers will.

How will this be important? More states are providing economic relief to residents whether under the terms of returning tax revenue or reducing the impact of inflation. All states are going about it differently some tie it to taxpaying status, some tie it to resident status, some tie it to gas use.
