New Report: Texas local governments spending

TPPF has a new report on local government spending. The apparent impetus is that the Legislature passed property tax relief but property tax bills keep going up. There’s a chart that they say shows how much big cities spend beyond population and inflation. Topping this chart is Dallas at 37% above population & inflation, San Antonio 31%, & Arlington 25%. Houston has a 0% differential.
