Social Equity Council + Cannabis Licenses

What’s happening? MA legalized cannabis creatively as we know and part of that was by creating a Social Equity Council that will play apart in determining licensure and distribution of revenue to impacted communities.

Why is this important? Times are changing, keep up or get left behind. The impact to communities now factors into decision making. Communities that have been disproportionately and negatively impacted by disproportionately higher incarceration rates, under MA Social Equity Council will see revenue returned to the community to build up the community.

How will this be important? Social Impact data tells us Gen Z and Millenials that outnumber Gen X and Boomers are concerned ab0ut impact. I’d wager a lot of Xers are too, it’s just our style to let the young ones talk about it.
