Stadium Building. Upgrade Season.

What is happening? We talked about how stadium leases are coming up for renewal in mass after the building free-for-all of the 80s,90s and 2000s. Chicago Bears are thinking about building a new stadium in Arlington Heights, but the city has ideas to lure them with renovations.

Why is this important? Let’s see what Chicago is offering to keep The Bears at Soldier field: gondolas or clean energy monorail, connected resort hotel, ‘floating pavilions’ and a concert venue. The goal to make it feel more like Disney Land.

How will this be important? There’s going to be a tally of which stadiums are upgraded and which left behind.
