State cannabis tax changes

California Legislature is working to repeal a 27% increase in the excise tax on cannabis with AB 564. Montana’s SB 307 wants to reallocate the state’s cannabis tax to increase funding for law enforcement and substance abuse. The Pennsylvania House passed a bill to impose a  12% tax while stores would levy a 6% sales tax, and permitting municipalities to impose an additional 3% sales tax.
