• Art. 2 Largest Article. For the first time, Art 2 was the largest budget item for 2014-2015.
• Growth Exceeds Inflation + Population. Article 2 is up 76% while inflation and population grew at 55%
  • HHSC Budget was up 16.6% for 2016-2017
  • DAFPS was up 14.9% for 2016-2017
  • DSHS, DAFS, and DADS were all down for 2016-2017
    • DADS budget was down -36.3% for 2016-2017
• 2017 Supplmental Appropriations Bill of $1.4 billion would make Art 2 the largest article in the state budget for the 2nd biennium.
