Weird legislative acts

Both chambers of the South Dakota Legislature passed Senate Concurrent Resolution 604 that “admonishes citizens to use July to ‘seek the Lord Most High’.”

The text of the resolution calls for fasting and prayer. 

More interesting is that 35% of deep red South Dakota Legislature voted against it.
