COVID Tracing App Prevents 600,000 Infections

What’s the deal? The BBC says the UK”s use of a COVID tracing app told 1.7 million to isolate and is estimated to have prevented 600,000 new infections.

Why is this important? The app has 21.7 million downloads and 16.5 million active users. For reference there are 63.8 million people in Great Britain.

How will this be important? COVID will not be the first rodeo in Pandemicland.
