What is happening? Sweden is deploying drones to offer fast medical care before ambulances can arrive. For example, a drone quickly delivered a defibrillator and walked through how to use it on a patient in need. It has been saving lives.
Why is this important? Sweden was the first country in the world to deploy drones when ambulances are called. Drones are dispatched in 60 seconds and don’t get stuck in traffic.
How will this be important? The only thing a bystander has to do is attach pads to the patient, and the remote operator gauges response, heart rate and necessary defibrillation.
