Foundation partnership to fund local revitalization

The Knight Foundation and the William Penn Foundation launched Reimagining the Civic Commons in Philadelphia in 2015. Since then, the collaborators have partnered with the JPB, Kresge, and Rockefeller foundations. The goal is to invest in public assets like parks, bike trails, libraries, and rec centers.  In partnership with nonprofit support helps local governments feel more comfortable in the investments needed for revitalization.
