Giving Trends of Millennials

What’s happening? Artemis Strategy Group conducted two studies on behalf of Fidelity Charitable. Here’s what they found:

  • 20% have invested in socially responsible businesses or investment funds
  • 4 in 10 have accessed an online giving platform
  • Forty% prefer to give money to the nonprofit sector rather than a major institution

Why is this important? Some say the apathetically inclined Gen X aligns more with Millennials than Boomers.

How will this be important? As millennials begin to control more than 5% of the wealth, their investing and giving styles will become common place.
