How to write a COVID Sports Event Cancellation

What’s happening? The International Ice Hockey Federation canceled/postponed its U18 ice hockey tournament.

Why is this important? The IIHF statement concerning the cancellation included a statement disavowing accusations that the IIHF supports mens hockey more than women hockey. The IIHF denies this and vowed to host events to ensure the continuation of the women hockey program.
