Meet the New C-Suite Officer: CHO

What is happening? Companies are adding a Chief Happiness Officer to keep their employees happy, content, and productive. CHOs are naturally positive people. “The late Zappos Chief Executive Tony Hsieh was famously committed to a fun working environment, and his book, “Delivering Happiness,” prompted other business leaders to give priority to workers’ emotional well-being.”

Why is this important? A CHO listens to employees explain what makes them unhappy, plans events, deals with questions about benefits and payroll but isn’t the HR officer.

How will this be important? The Great Resignation is most a result of employees being unhappy with their employer/employment. If you want to retain employees, you want happy employees.
