New term: real-time business

Experts say businesses perform better when decision making is fast and key business processes are automated or digitized. A real-time business creates and consolidates data in real-time to provide answers to customers and employees.

A study of real time businesses found that they are 22% better at operational efficiency; 20% better at innovation; and 17% better at risk management as opposed to the businesses in the bottom quartile of businesses. @MITSloan
