Sustainable Supply Chains

What is happening? Sodexo won  the Social Impact & Diversity award for its work to end modern day slavery in its supply chains. The award is part of the 2022 Footprint Awards for sustainability excellence.

Why is this important? Sodexo began tackling exploitation in its supply chain in early 2021.

How will this be important? Sodexo simultaneously began working on “Food waste is a key element of Sodexo’s net zero road map and in late 2021 it launched Appetite for Action, a campaign which has provided a powerful platform for it to engage with government and wider stakeholder bodies, while educating audiences on the link between food waste and carbon emissions.”
