Taco Bell An Environmental Leader in the Food Industry?!?

Past Sustainability Moves:

• Has used paper bags rather than plastic for years
• 2018 – introduced recyclable cold cups and lids
• 2019 – began highlighting their existing vegetarian items

New Sustainability Goals:

• all packaging to be recyclable, compostable, or reusable by 2025
• install recycling and composting bins in restaurants where local infrastructure permits 
• new packaging materials to be free of PFAS, phthalates, and BPA

Concerns:

The environmental impact will be determined based on how generous Taco Bell is with their currently vague definition of “reusable”.
