• increasing landfill diversion efforts since 2012

• recycled 1,171 tons in 2019, which equates to saving 4,248 mature trees

A multi-year, multi-step process

Volvo partnered with Waste-Management to make the transition to zero-waste. The company began with single-stream recycling then multi-stream recycling, implemented a composting program, and diverted landfill waste to an energy facility that powers turbines.
