Indiana testing concerete to charge EVs

What’s happening? Indiana’s Department of Transportation is testing a magnetized concrete for roadways that can charge EVs as they are driven.

Why is this important? Indiana is working with ASPIRE, Advancing Sustainability through Power Infrastructure for Road Electrification, funded by the National Science Foundation, the consortium of government, university, and business is devoted to working up new charging technologies for battery-electric vehicles.

How will this be important? You and I first talked about roads that can charge EVs a couple years ago with a cement being used near Arlanda Airport in Stockholm, Sweden. Follow the dots, ya’ll.
