House Committee on Transportation recommends:

• TXDOT cooperation with local governments durin emergencies for evacuation routes, signage, and emergency management information systems
• comprehensive development agreements for projects which are not included in TxDOT’s Uniform Transportation Program should be OK if local governing bodies approve them
• If local governmental bodies have approved toll roads they should be able to have toll roads
• Increase to 6, from 3, the number of design-build contracts at TXDOT
• Require an annual TXDOT report on  total traffic delays caused by the fault of the contractor including both administrative costs & traffic delay costs.
• Toll penalties should be uniform across the state, regardless of the entity that controls the toll road
• Closely watch Autonomous Vehicles
• TXDOT should expand use of dynamic messaging signs to improve safety

Senate Transportation Committee:

• Combine budget strategies to accellerate projects
• Any toll sharing data chanfges should include custoemr data protections
