Minnesota Transportation Funding Trends

Minnesota Governor, a Democrat, is proposing a package of transportation funding proposals:

• Increase the gas tax, which currently sits at 26 cents
• Add a local transportation funding sales tax to support local mass transportation projects
• Dedicating leased motor vehicle tax to statewide transportation needs
