Transportation planning: wildlife crossings

Arizona includes wildlife crossings in its transportation planning. Over the past 25 years, the state has seen a 90% reduction in wildlife – vehicle accidents. This impacts rural counties the most which account for 30% of wildlife traffic accidents.
