Why is this important? Customers and the public want to know that products stand for something. People want to know if they’re spending their money that the money is going into the hands of a company that will be on the right side of history.
How will this be important? Being silent is no longer an option.
What’s happening? When analyzing the return from a hospital owned affordable housing project, analysts used social return on investment in lieu of old school return on investment.
Why is this important? IN 2018 numbers, they found that the return was $1.30 to $1.92 per year for every dollar of annual operating expense

How can this impact me? Talking about business as bottom line only while boasting bully policies worked before, not anymore. Stakeholder capitalism means we care how well everyone is doing and we choose to make them better first.
What’s the deal? Illinois awarded $31.5 million in grants to revitalize neighborhoods devastated by violence, poverty and the war on drugs. Grants are being given to violence prevention, legal aid and reentry for those convicted of crimes.
